Course Objectives
From any company or organization's perspective, there is always a need to manage its public profile. The manager in which a company is perceived is of utmost importance.
Bearing this in mind, public relation is a function that serves to highlight the strengths of a company, minimize its faults and interface with the public about the nature of the business. If you embark on a career in public relations, expect to create glowing communiques, press releases, press packages, and interface with internal and external stakeholders of any company or organization.
Another important function of public relations is risk management. If there is any negative press around a company, a public relations officer usually steps in with disaster management strategies.
